Last updated: May 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of I Love My LaTeX, including our website, application, PDF to LaTeX conversion tools, related features, and any associated services.
By creating an account, uploading a file, purchasing a plan, or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the service.
1. Service description
I Love My LaTeX provides online tools that help users convert PDF files, scanned documents, mathematical images, handwritten notes, academic documents, and technical content into editable LaTeX code.
The service is intended to assist with document conversion and LaTeX preparation. It does not guarantee perfect, complete, or error-free output.
2. Account registration
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep your account information up to date.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must not share your account with unauthorized users or use another person's account without permission.
3. User responsibility for uploaded content
You are solely responsible for the files, documents, images, text, mathematical content, and other materials that you upload, submit, process, or store through the service.
You confirm that you have all necessary rights, permissions, licenses, or legal authorization to upload, process, convert, and use the content you submit.
You must not upload or process content that infringes intellectual property rights, violates privacy rights, breaches confidentiality obligations, violates academic or institutional rules, or violates any applicable law.
4. Documents containing sensitive or confidential information
You should not upload confidential, private, sensitive, medical, financial, legal, identity-related, or personal documents unless you have the legal right, authority, and appropriate safeguards to process them.
If you upload documents containing personal data or confidential information, you are responsible for ensuring that such processing complies with applicable laws, institutional rules, contracts, confidentiality obligations, and data protection requirements.
5. Generated LaTeX output
The service may generate LaTeX code from uploaded documents. The generated output may contain errors, omissions, formatting issues, incorrect mathematical expressions, incorrect symbols, missing content, or incomplete structure.
You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, validating, compiling, and deciding whether the generated output is suitable for your intended use.
We do not guarantee that the generated LaTeX is accurate, complete, compilable, suitable for academic submission, suitable for publication, or free from errors.
6. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you upload, subject to any rights held by third parties.
By uploading content to the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transmit, store temporarily, analyze, and convert your content only as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
We do not claim ownership of your uploaded documents or generated output.
The website, application, software, interface, branding, design, and service infrastructure are owned by I Love My LaTeX or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
7. Third-party providers
The service may rely on third-party providers for hosting, infrastructure, storage, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, security, document processing, model inference, or related technical operations.
By using the service, you understand that your data, uploaded files, generated outputs, and technical metadata may be processed by such providers when necessary to operate the service.
8. Payments, subscriptions, and credits
Paid plans, subscriptions, credits, page limits, and conversion limits are subject to the pricing and plan details displayed at the time of purchase.
Each plan may include monthly page limits, per-document page limits, feature limits, usage restrictions, or other technical constraints.
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers.
Unless otherwise stated, fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly provided by the payment terms applicable to your purchase.
9. Fair use and service limits
We may apply rate limits, page limits, file size limits, concurrency limits, storage limits, security checks, or other restrictions to protect the service and ensure fair access for all users.
We may suspend or restrict access if usage creates excessive load, security risk, operational risk, abuse, payment risk, or legal risk.
10. Prohibited use
You must not use the service in violation of our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you must not use the service to process illegal content, infringing content, unauthorized confidential documents, malware, harmful files, or content you do not have the right to process.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe your use violates these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law.
11. Service availability
We try to keep the service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or permanent access.
The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, provider outages, network problems, rate limits, security events, changes to third-party services, or force majeure events.
12. No professional advice
The service does not provide legal, academic, editorial, scientific, professional, or publication advice. Generated output should not be treated as verified, authoritative, or suitable for submission without review.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, I Love My LaTeX and its operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or economic damages.
This includes loss of data, loss of documents, loss of profits, loss of business, payment disputes, academic consequences, publication errors, incorrect LaTeX output, failed compilation, service interruptions, or damages resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable generated content.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the service during the period giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount permitted by applicable law if no payment was made.
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless I Love My LaTeX and its operators from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your uploaded content, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of third-party rights, or your violation of applicable law.
16. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to the service if we believe you have violated these Terms, created legal or security risk, misused the service, failed to pay applicable fees, or used the service unlawfully.
You may stop using the service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting us, subject to legal, billing, security, and operational retention requirements.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may notify users through the website, application, or email. Continued use of the service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
