Acceptable Use Policy

You may upload documents, images, PDFs, scanned pages, and mathematical content only when you have the right to process them.

Examples of acceptable use include:

• Your own mathematical notes, drafts, or documents.
• Course material you are authorized to process.
• Research drafts, reports, or papers you own or can process.
• Public domain or openly licensed documents, where your use complies with the license.
• Institutional documents where you have permission to convert or process them.

You must not upload, process, generate, store, or share content that:

• violates any applicable law or regulation;
• infringes copyright, trademark, trade secret, database rights, moral rights, or other intellectual property rights;
• contains confidential documents without permission or legal authorization;
• contains personal data of third parties without a valid legal basis;
• contains sensitive personal data unless you are legally authorized to process it and have appropriate safeguards;
• contains medical, health, biometric, financial, identity, legal, or government documents without proper authorization;
• violates academic integrity, examination rules, institutional policies, or confidentiality obligations;
• contains malware, viruses, harmful scripts, exploit code, or files intended to compromise systems;
• is used for fraud, impersonation, deception, harassment, or abusive conduct;
• creates legal, security, operational, or reputational risk for the service.

You must not use the service to process copyrighted books, articles, course packs, commercial documents, exams, or protected educational materials unless you have the necessary rights, permission, license, or legal exception.

You are responsible for determining whether your use of a document is permitted. I Love My LaTeX does not grant you rights to content you do not own.

You should not upload documents containing personal data or sensitive information unless you have the legal right and valid basis to process that information.

This includes documents containing names, addresses, student records, grades, identity numbers, health information, financial information, legal documents, biometric information, or other sensitive data.

If you upload such information, you are responsible for complying with all applicable privacy and data protection laws.

You must not:

• attempt to access accounts, files, systems, or data without authorization;
• attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, credits, or payment controls;
• scan, probe, attack, overload, disrupt, or compromise the service;
• upload malware, harmful code, or files designed to damage or exploit systems;
• reverse engineer, scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service in an abusive manner;
• use automated systems to overload or degrade the service;
• interfere with the operation, security, or integrity of the platform.

You must not abuse free trials, credits, subscriptions, page limits, rate limits, or technical restrictions.

Prohibited behavior includes:

• creating multiple accounts to bypass limits;
• sharing accounts to avoid payment or restrictions;
• using automated uploads to overload the service;
• attempting to obtain paid features without payment;
• reselling access without authorization;
• using the service in a way that harms other users or the platform.

You are responsible for how you use generated LaTeX output. You must not use generated output to misrepresent authorship, violate academic integrity rules, infringe copyright, impersonate others, or submit inaccurate or unverified content as authoritative.

You must review and verify generated output before using it in academic, professional, legal, scientific, or publication contexts.

We may monitor usage for security, abuse prevention, reliability, fraud prevention, payment protection, and compliance with this policy.

If we believe that you have violated this policy, we may take action, including:

• warning you;
• removing or disabling access to content;
• limiting conversions or uploads;
• suspending or terminating your account;
• blocking access to the service;
• reporting unlawful activity where required or permitted by law.
